AREAS OF PRACTICE

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between patient and psychologist, designed to help individuals identify dysfunction and effectuate positive change in their lives.  Dr. Watchman helps individuals define their goals and gain insight into connections between their past and present patterns of behavior to prevent repetition of self-defeating behaviors and alter dysfunctional behavior patterns.

There are many significant life events, transitions and losses that present individuals with major challenges.  Dr. Watchman strives to provide a safe, professional context in which individuals may explore and better understand their emotions and behaviors as well as the internal thoughts and external factors that impact their emotions and behaviors.  She helps patients develop more effective coping strategies and build the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain healthy, productive

relationships in their personal and professional lives.
